Winter Brown, AMFT

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #157105

Winter is a person-centered, trauma-informed therapist who brings an embodied presence and grounded, attuned approach into her work with clients. She is deeply committed to co-creating a therapeutic space that feels safe, collaborative, and affirming—one that honors both a client’s lived experiences and their present realities, while gently supporting movement toward the vibrant and meaningful future they envision. Winter believes healing happens through connection, curiosity, and compassion, and she works at a pace that respects each client’s nervous system, boundaries, and readiness for change.

Her work is integrative and flexible, blending evidence-based practices with creative and experiential approaches to support personal growth and expand new possibilities. Winter incorporates practical tools clients can use in daily life alongside creative practices that foster self-awareness, emotional regulation, and resilience. She supports clients in developing greater insight, self-trust, and a deeper sense of agency, helping them reconnect with their strengths while navigating life’s challenges.

Winter holds a Master of Arts in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (San Francisco, CA), completed in 2025. Her graduate training is rooted in a holistic mind–body–spirit framework, emphasizing the interconnectedness of emotional, psychological, and physiological well-being. This foundation complements her nearly two decades of experience in healthcare and wellness, including extensive work in persistent pain and dizziness education. These experiences inform her nuanced understanding of how stress, trauma, and chronic symptoms live in the body.

Drawing from neuroscience, somatic and mind–body practices, Winter integrates therapeutic modalities such as attachment theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and play therapy into her work. She tailors each session to the individual, weaving together insight-oriented and experiential approaches to support healing, integration, and lasting change.
