Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor #16442

Licensed Mental Health Counselor #61228774

Teresa is a licensed professional clinical counselor and licensed mental health counselor who brings a direct yet compassionate presence to the therapeutic space. She believes that meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship—one built on honesty, dignity, and mutual respect. Her approach balances deep validation and understanding with practical tools for growth, using evidence-based modalities to support clients in moving toward their goals.

At the heart of Teresa’s work is a commitment to truly listening—to understand, not just to respond. She specializes in working with adolescents and their families, while also supporting adults and older adults navigating a wide range of emotional and relational challenges. Teresa has particular experience helping teens manage anxiety, depression, emotion regulation, and interpersonal struggles, and she brings a calm, steady presence to what can often feel like overwhelming terrain.

Her clinical work is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and she also integrates elements of Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Informed CBT. Teresa’s experience spans multiple settings, including hospitals, partial hospitalization programs (PHP), residential treatment, and community mental health, offering both individual and group support.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from St. Michael’s College and her master’s degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Assumption University, where she developed a strong foundation in research-based best practices. Teresa is deeply committed to helping clients build insight, resilience, and meaningful change—one conversation at a time.
