Selda Durak, ACSW
Associate Clinical Social Worker #123321
Selda is an associate therapist who brings empathy and a strong sense of purpose to her clinical work. Her approach is rooted in evidence-based practices—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing—and shaped by a deep appreciation for each client’s unique experiences, strengths, and story.
Her journey into the field began as a behavior technician, where she supported children in developing emotional and behavioral skills. She went on to work with homeless women in Berkeley, an experience that reinforced her commitment to advocating for and supporting underserved communities. Since then, Selda has offered both therapeutic care and case management in a variety of settings, including an adult day health center and Kaiser Permanente. Most recently, she worked as a psychiatric social worker, providing support to older adults living with serious mental illness.
Selda’s clinical style is collaborative and strengths-based. She strives to create a safe, respectful space where clients feel truly seen and supported. She is especially passionate about working with individuals facing depression, anxiety, and PTSD, and approaches each therapeutic relationship with care, curiosity, and a commitment to meaningful growth.
She earned her master’s in social work from the University of California, Berkeley.
