Jennifer Mellin, AMFT
Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #149082
Jennifer is an associate marriage and family therapist who brings warmth, presence, and curiosity to her work with clients. She meets people where they are - whether they are navigating anxiety, relationship struggles, or life with a chronic illness - and offers a compassionate, understanding space to explore their parts and alternate ways to self-advocate for their health. Jennifer supports clients in healing their internal system for personal relief and peace, and works with couples and families to improve communication and relationship dynamics.
Her approach to therapy is collaborative, non-judgmental, and person-centered. She believes that people have the resilience and inner knowledge of their own parts to make changes in their lives that bring a greater sense of harmony. She also believes that these changes happen sooner when clients have support and resources from a compassionate and committed professional. She blends Internal Family Systems, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy, tailoring her approach to meet each client's unique needs and goals. Her goal is for my clients to feel heard, understood, supported, and educated through their work in therapy.
Jennifer earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees in counseling from Saint Mary's College of California, where she built a strong foundation in empathic, culturally responsive, and integrative approaches to therapy. She is committed to advocating for care that is compassionate, accessible, equitable, tailored to each individual, and provided with a multicultural lens.
